‘Black Panther’ tra i migliori film, i fratelli Coen tra i registi secondo la North Carolina Film Critics Association

Tre dei cinque film candidati ai North Carolina Film Critics Association Awards sono diretti da registi afroamericani. Black Panther, BlackKklansman e Se la strada potesse parlare sfideranno il messicano Roma ed il redivivo First Man per ottenere il premio al miglior film dell’anno.

Joel ed Ethan Coen ottengono la loro prima candidatura stagionale grazie a La ballata di Buster Scruggs, candidato anche per la fotografia. Tra gli interpreti protagonisti spazio per Yalitza Aparicio, Toni Collette, John David Washington e Rami Malek, mentre tra i non protagonisti rientrano al fianco di nomi ben più rodati Michael B. Jordan, Nicole Kidman ed Elizabeth Debicki. Da notare anche la candidatura di The Guilty, recentemente incluso nella shortlist degli Oscar, al miglior film straniero e di Teen Titans Go! Il film tra le pellicole animate. Inoltre un premio speciale verrà conferito a tre personalità dello spettacolo attive nel corso dell’anno che hanno legami con lo stato del North Carolina: saranno Lucas Hedges, Payton Reed e David Gordon Green a ricevere il Tar Heel Award.
