L’Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences ha svelato le shortlist in ben 10 categorie artistiche e tecniche degli Oscar, che andranno poi a scremare quando verranno annunciate le nomination alla statuetta il prossimo 17 gennaio 2025.
A guidare in termini di numero di menzioni, Emilia Perez di Jacques Audiard e Wicked di John M. Chu, entrambi musical. C’è anche l’Italia con Vermiglio di Maura Delpero, che passa il primo test del miglior film internazionale, e Luca Guadagnino co-autore del testo della canzone “Compress/Repress” di Challengers, assieme a Trent Reznor ed Atticus Ross.
