L’Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences ha svelato le shortlist dei 15 lungometraggi che sono stati selezionati dai membri delle rispettive categorie per procedere alla selezione di candidatura finale; le nomination ai 95° Oscar verranno svelate il prossimo martedì 24 gennaio.
Le categorie che sono state selezionate per le shortlist pubbliche sono le seguenti: documentario, cortometraggio documentario, cortometraggio animato, cortometraggio, film internazionale, colonna sonora, canzone originale, suono, trucco ed acconciatura ed effetti vivisi. Fuori dalla corsa al miglior film internazionale l’Italia con Nostalgia di Mario Martone, ottime presenze nelle shortlist di titoli trasversali come Everything Everywhere All At Once (che però “buca” la selezione per gli effetti speciali), Babylon, Gli spiriti dell’isola e Niente di nuovo sul fronte occidentale.
